Xalles Develops Relationship with the Brazilian IT Industry

FORTALEZA and WASHINGTON, DC, March 1, 2005 –- In February, Xalles visited Brazil for the third time, to meet with Brazilian IT companies and assist them with their international marketing initiatives.

Sebrae, in collaboration with PSI-SW, sponsored Xalles in presenting its Creating a Successful International Marketing Strategy Seminar, in Fortaleza, to its member companies. Sebrae is a non-profit, private institution supporting the development of small and mid-sized businesses in Brazil. PSI-SW (Projeto Setorial Integrado em Software e Serviços Correlatos) is an initiative associated with SOFTEX and APEX (both Brazilian export organizations). PSI-SW is assisting about 70 Brazilian firms in marketing their software and related services to international markets.

Numerous Brazilian IT firms, from various disciplines, attended Xalles’ full-day training on how to market their products and services internationally. As part of the Sebrae sponsored visit, Xalles also met with each firm individually, in the days following the seminar, for face-to-face meetings to get a better understanding of the needs of each company and provide advice and recommendations on how to proceed with their business planning. 12 companies in total participated in the week long event.

“The Creating a Successful International Marketing Strategy Seminar managed by Xalles, illustrated a holistic view of the necessary steps to be a competitive player in various international markets. The Xalles approach is objective and we had a very good approval rating from the attendees of the seminar,” commented Fernando Fasti, Project Manager for the PSI-SW project.

Alexandre Menezes, Business Director of IVIA, who attended the Xalles seminar stated, “I found the seminar to be extremely informative.”

Xalles will continue its relationship with Brazil as it has already partnered with some Brazilian IT firms for international marketing strategy and systems implementation services, and talks are currently in progress with others. Xalles will also be attending the CIAB 2005 Conference - XV Congress and Exhibition of Financial Institutions Info rmation Technology, from June 15-17 in São Paulo.
