Xalles
Assists United States Department of Defense
with Financial Re-engineering Project
DUBLIN,
1 August, 2003 - Xalles Limited today reported its participation
in a large U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) financial re-engineering
project recently completed.
Xalles
played a key role in a successful financial and operations re-engineering
initiative within the Department of Defense’s Transportation and
Financial business areas . Xalles applied their project management,
management consulting and systems integration expertise to the project
which involved the integration of U.S. Bank’s financial supply chain
software, PowerTrack®, across all of the DoD’s transportation business
with commercial vendors.
The
PowerTrack® initiative resulted in improved business processes supporting
freight payments, generated better access to financial and operations
information, and significantly lowered the cost of processing payments
within DoD. The Office of the Assistant Deputy Under Secretary of
Defense for Transportation Policy (OADUSD/TP) senior leadership
commented on the unprecedented achievements of the PowerTrack® implementation
project to DoD in such a short timeframe. “Generally initiatives
of this kind are much longer term investments of time and energy
to personnel within DoD,” commented Ken Stombaugh (former Deputy
to the ADUSD(TP). “In this case we saw results very quickly, without
creating a lot of pain to those involved. Most importantly, we dramatically
improved and strengthened the Department’s transportation payment
process and placed accountability where it belongs. I believe that
a critical factor in this success story was the overall leadership
and commitment to a quality process brought to the project by the
Xalles project manager and consultants,” remarked Stombaugh.
One
of the core competencies at Xalles is the ability to re-engineer
organizations without
the remnants of disorder. Xalles’ Business Design and Implementation
Methodology combine innovation with a steady, reliable process for
achieving results in the target area of the business. Xalles consultants
are customer focused on providing maximum profitability to its customers.
Companies
looking for business line overhauls, corporate repositioning, creation
of new product lines, mergers, acquisitions or spin-offs, are often
in need of design and program management services that focus on
bottom line results. Government organizations are in need of increased
efficiencies just as commercial companies are. Xalles is proud of
its relationship with the U.S. Department of Defense and the results
of the projects it has served on. Xalles continues to work with
the DoD to look for opportunities to improve financial processes
and programs.
According
to Thomas Nash, Chairman and CEO of Xalles Limited, “Our team has
the techniques, processes and track record to design and deliver
changes that will actually make a difference to the organization.
The financial re-engineering project was one of the most challenging
projects we have encountered. It involved thousands of Government
staff and commercial suppliers, all needing to be aligned for the
project to succeed. We are proud to be part of the team that finished
what they set out to achieve and whose results are a testament to
the difference we have made to our customers’ business.”
Xalles
will assist organizations in defining their corporate vision, assessing
their needs holistically according to the vision, and create solutions
to take advantage of the intrinsic power found within the customer’s
organization.
